World Cultural Jamboree 2022 hosted jointly by Bharath Scouts and Guides, Karnataka, District Scouts and Guides of Alva’s Education Foundation at Moodbidri from 21 to 27 December

The preparation for the Global Cultural Jamboree had begun and more than 50,000 Scouts, Guides, Rovers, and Rangers from India had taken part, in addition to this thousands of Scouts and Guides from different countries of the world. It was the first time that such a mega event was being held in Dakshina Kannada district. Various activities for along with a training programme were conducted for seven days including it was mandatory to attend Yoga and meditation every morning and we witnessed glorious and enchanting cultural programmes every evening from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

As we received the official invitation for world cultural Jamboree 2022, we were all excited and 18 scouts and guides of class 7 along with our Scout master guide captain got ready to partake in the International Cultural Jamboree.

As per our plan, we left Annigeri on 19th December and reached Moodabidri on 20th December.

The Jamboree had a range of activities and attractive programmes for the participants. There were 8 enormous stages, throughout the Alva Campus and programmes   took place simultaneously.

On the first day, we attended the   inauguration of World Cultural Jamboree 2022. And also, that day, Scouts and guides were issued a jamboree kit which had a handbook containing activities for them.

So, from 22 December, our journey had started.

Day-1

Scouts and guides viewed the display of all the 20 Districts of Karnataka pertaining to their culture, customs and traditions, food habits and dress. They also learnt about the famous monuments, temples, Mysore Palace and so on and so forth.

Then we had and collected the first badge of Jamboree.

Day -2

 Our Scouts and Guides participated in the challenging valley activities   and got their second badge

Day-3

Our Scouts and Guides enjoyed the magic show and participated in the painting, art and craft  activity .They achieved their third  badge.

Day-4

 Our enthusiastic and curious Scouts and Guides witnessed Jungle trail activity and viewed STEM Exhibition and received their fourth and fifth badge.

Day-5

 On this day they took part in the cultural day celebration adorning the cultural dress of Dharwad district, took photographs and were awarded the sixth badge for their scouts and guides skill.

Day-6

 Here we came to the end of the World Cultural Jamboree Meet on 26th December, finally participating in the mega event of Yoga which was added in the Guinness Record.

With a heavy heart all of us bid goodbye to the exquisite Moodbidri which has etched its indelible memories of World Cultural Jamboree of December 2022.
